As Tulane students, our debaters are passionate about public service and contributing to the New Orleans community. Team members regularly volunteer as judges and coaches at local middle school and high school tournaments. For information about service opportunities, or if you’re looking for volunteers for a debate-related event, please contact Jess Martel, Social & Outreach Chair, at email@example.com.
Though we are distinct organizations, the Tulane University Debate Team supports the valuable work of the Tulane Debate Education Society. The Debate Society, run by Tulane professor Dr. Ryan McBride, coordinates a citywide debate league for middle school students. Tulane students in the Debate Society coach middle school teams and organize almost every aspect of the league’s four citywide tournaments each year. For more information, visit the Society’s website.
